I do not know where you are but I suggest you go into your own business.
Try somehow to get a selling cart - icecream or hotdogs or meat balls. Anything, if you work hard and save some money you can be your own boss...

Try temp placement agencies: Ranstad, Kelly Services, check the internet for others in your area. Send them your resume and see what happens. Some of the companies they use will want and background check and some won't. You simply ask them that question before they send you to a particular site. Some companies don't mind the felonies because the have rehab programs that give them some sort of tax benefit for hiring convicts. Don't listen to people who say you can't, be a believer in yourself and make it happen. If you think you are defeated, you will be. Nothing beats a failure but a try. What do you have to lose, except unemployment. So get out there and call those agencies and let them do the rest.

Best wishes! Have FAITH.

i admire that you're trying to become a productive member of society. good going.

unfortunately, i don't understand what you mean. you only served 30 days, but you were convicted of a felony? considering a felony's minimum punishment is 1 year in prison, that's somewhat confusinng.

however, finding a job will be difficult. my suggestion is to go out and look for warehouses, docks, etc. (places where you have experience) and simply ask the people incharge if they need a worker. if they ask about your past, explain how you paid your debt, and are ready to work again. most employers (including myself) would understand and hire you regardless. (i am currently not looking for employees, sorry). best of luck to you though.

I would look into community based organizations who serve to help people in your circumstances. They look to hire people as well as help people like those with your background. For example, you might try The Salvation Army, or any similar type of CBO. Get some help with your resume and be totally honest on your interview. Also, dress for success on the interview, make good eye contact, smile a bit, and keep an even, friendly tone of voice.
Good luck.

What you need most is a good resume to help sell your skills and talents. Once you get into the interview you can sell yourself and explain the "mistake" you made and how you have changed and learned from them!! Be will to offer an employer one week free labor to prove yourself to them. In the long run it will pay off handsomely!!

Have you tried going back to your previous employer? Go to an unemployment office and talk to them, they might be able to place you. Open up your own gardening business. Get a used lawnmower and put some flyers out. Good luck!

You're going to find it very tough out there in the world....TRUST.....

Try temporary services......Even MCD's.....Furniture Stores, Factories Etc. Whatever you do....don't LIE....if these places do a background check and you've checked the box NO (criminal record) you won't ever find a JOB .....
