I play to relieve stress. It works pretty well.

People play videogames because its entertaining, having some muscular guy with about 50 weapons on him, blasting everything in sight acts like an addictive drug in the pleasure center of the brain. And yes they do affect mental health. Too much radiation from the screen can cause cancer and damage brain tissue, and too much video games can disrupt your education and studies.

Why? Because they are fun.
Why do people play sports? Read? Write?
Psychologists and many others claim that violent video games lead to increased likelihood of aggression in the user. Studies have shown this link in the short term but no substantial longitudinal study has been undertaken.
We really do not know the answer to that question.

It is possible to engage of too much of anything. Many of them are quite fun, but I don't think I'll ever get the hang of Halo. *L* I wish there were more games out there with some educational value that kids would actually want to play. I guess it does promote hand/eye coordination, but I'll still limit the amount of time my kids play.

It is just for entertainment. Some video games may have cause problems but some also may stimulate mental development

it fun..but not playing to much..because it can becaume like a drug attiction,with me it can never happen..if i play to much i get bored..and i leave...but the strange thing is that i always come back in about half an hour or an hour,to "get some more"strange really,strange..maybe i'm hooked
