should be legal & sold like smokes are, but none of that govt. crap, best to get the BC boys to grow the BC bud

They are less likely to cause cancer than cigarettes (and in some cases, slow the progression of cancer), are less addictive than cigarettes, contain less chemicals than cigarettes... however, are capable of causing hallucinations in some people, in some amounts, and under certain circumstances.
If it weren't for the hallucination bit, I'd say make cigarettes illegal, and make marijuana legal. However, if that were the case, I'd quit smoking cigs (and I'm allergic to pot... it causes my hay fever to act up).
