I agree with Muj.... you gotta love the "genes" you're in RIGHT NOW... not later, when:
...you become more rich
...you become more lighter
...you become more skinner
Im not against enhancing your beauty, by all means, go forth and be sexy, but if anyone spends more time self loathing, then "self loving," your missing out on enjoying your life.
Self loathing is such a diservice to the Creator who made you, as if there was some malfunction when you were born, TRUST that you are unique, and deemed worthy.
I know growing up in an Indian culture, its not easy with all the pressure and beliefs you are taught.... but to me its like a cancer, that grows and consumes all the good people... I would probably be looked down upon for being born of a darker hue, Im so glad that my thinking has not been tainted by this experience. I grew up hearing terms like "pretty black" "dark beauty" and "morena" this are golden terms that have lined my thinking and self image, I never thought about bleach cremes, surgery or drastic measures until I became older, and had negative images and words pumped at me.
Its kind of silly when you think of it, and sad too.
Of all the blessing one could count, like 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 eyes, and so forth, I've learned that many people of India see their skin color as a curse and not a blessing.
Sad. I really wish the world was not like that.... and we were not so affected by this.
There is a beautiful song, I'd like you to hear called "Imagine Me"
by Kirk Franklin that out right now, talking about not liking what you see in the mirror, please check it out.

If you want to lighten your skin, there are many skin lighteners. Choose a well known brand to get the most effective one.Estee Lauder, Clarins, Shisedo, Chanel- all have product lines for brightening skin- mostly sold in asia, but available online. A dermatologist has products that are stronger, too. Be aware, though, that all of these products are limited in what they can do. If you are darker-skinned you will not lighten very much. Besides, the rest of your body is dark- what are you going to do? Dip yourself in skin bleach?!! Consider your situation differently: There is nothing wrong with dark skin- it doesn't need to be fixed!!! As a matter of fact, seeing light skin as the best is an old-fashioned way of looking at beauty. It also denies the beauty of the millions of women who are not born anglo-saxon (white european). The time has come for women who are not blond haired and blue eyed to realize there is power and beauty in their many shades of skin. Many men all over the world have come to see the darker skin as the the most beautiful and exotic. Why don't you stop trying to look like someone else and start looking like the beauty you are. Don't spend your money on things that will only disappoint you- spend your time taking care of your skin. Proper cleaning and moisturizing, along with proper nutrition, will give you a glowing complection. ENHANCE it- DON'T try to change it!
