I'm really confused....?

Question

I left a boyfriend (my first real love) of 3 1/2 years 2 1/2 years ago, my problem now is I STILL can't stop thinking about him, I'm living with somebody else now, who I do love but I think I'm still in love with my ex, every time I hear certain songs or my boyfriend says or does certain things I remember and compare them to my ex and I know it's not fair on him. I am really confused, and prob shouldn't be posting this but maybe others have been in the same position...?

yeah that guy has and will always be part of ur life.he was the one who touched ur heart and u cant forget the memorys.its just memories and its ok.ur not going to go hook up with him again just thinking bout it.songs are the worst cuz it brings up the memories quick.no its not fair to him to be compared to ur ex but its ok its all in ur head.ur new man dont know and its ok if he dont.he cant expect u to just forget him. u never forget the 1st love.i still think bout mine once in awhile.thats all the past i realize and its all good.so its kool to be confused.it will all be ok.good luck

It's the way you feel when you remember those special moments... a memory triggers a feeling, and yours were great, but they were also in the past...

It doesn't neccessarily mean that you're still in love, it feels good but it's only part of a distant memory!

There's a reason that you're not together anymore and there's a reason that you're with you're current boyfriend! You can't think that you are still in love... you either are or you aren't!

Think it through very carefully and decide! Then you can move on from there... : )

Maybe you're romanticizing the past a bit. You were younger then, maybe things were more carefree?

I don't know what to tell you, honey, but it's human to compare if you've had more than one lover. It's a sad fact of life and unavoidable. You can learn to appreciate your new partner or learn from your past mistakes and don't repeat it with your current love.

I don't know if you are spiritual or not, but you should pray. God can do all things, but you just have to be ready. You are still holding onto something to still want to be with him and you have to be ready to let that go. It took me 2 yrs to get over my first love because I had met a man that was just for me. I still love my ex, but not to be with him. I was ready to let him go in that way and he just tried to come back into my life recently and he asked me to marry him and I said no, because it was too late. So it depends on you, but I didn't move on until I knew I was ready because I wouldn't want to hurt a new boyfriend. Be Blessed!

Why did you leave him? He is around? Can you talk to him and find out if he is thinking about you? Try to think about why you left him too. It's hard to love someone if you're thinking about your ex

Decide yourself where u want to be dubious personality or be sincere and honest friend of new bf.For removing memories of old u have do prayer of God whenever he comes to mind or deep breathing exercise.
