When you use ICS (Internet connection sharing) the computer connected to the internet (Known as the primary computer)has to be a static ip. That means you have to go into network settings. Use following IP address 192.168.0.1 with a sub-net mask of 255.255.255.0. Then restart the computer and bring up the link leave the gateway and DNS setting blank.
All the other computers network setting needs to have "Assign IP address automatically" ticked. Then restart these computers. To go onto the Internet the Primary computer (The one connected to the internet) must be on-line before any of the other can access the Internet as well.
If this is how the settings are may I suggest you check out and firewall and anti-virus settings you may have on the primary computer as these setting may also be blocking other computers connecting through it.

Hope this helps

When you checkmarked allow others to connect through your laptop, it will change your IP to external IP, that's why you cannot connect anymore to Internet, and consequently other computers to you.

Change back your old IP. Install proxy like FREEPROXY (which is easy and I can connect it in few minutes only). Follow the help from this proxy program on how other computer can connect to Internet through your system.
