I think they should all have to work in the real world. They wouldn't last two minutes if they had to live in council flats on minimum wages in deadend jobs like the rest of us.

Do you people even know what the Royal Family do? God, you Americans (because I bet you are).

The Royal Family do a lot for our charities. They're patrons and draw attention to causes that are in need of support. Or for instance like the Duke Of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, they manage to take children who would otherwise be watching the television and playing on computers out the places in Africa. Thats happened every year for 8 years in my school and its common in other schools as well.

And if you're attacking Beatrice specifically, fine. Her 18th was a big show but you're telling me shes not entitled to one because shes royal? She does a lot for charity too, and shes following in her mothers footsteps. Grow up and accept the fact that as long as the majority of the British people want a monarchy (which they do), they will be able to do whatever they want.

Dont you think the vast majority of Hollywood ought to do something like that? Instead of jumping on the bandwagon everytime theres a Hurricane Katrina or a Sudan Crisis.

The other day she said she doesn't want to be addressed as Princess or HRH, she's just Beatrice, and that she wants to be like her mum - who in fact does work for a living. With the exception of her 18th birthday she seems to be staying out of the spotlight.

Sounds like she's trying pretty hard to be normal if you ask me, and plenty of kids who have just turned eighteen are doing their A levels rather than working. Give the girl a break, she's just a kid.

Cut the girl some slack, shes what?18? she cleary doesnt have enough about her to go to uni so swanning around and check out who will be her first hubby is all the poor girl can hope for. But having said that, she will be expected to open hospital wings and flower shows etc fairly soon. but being 5th or so in line we dont actually pay that much for her, her mum and dad have to priovide most of it but i bet her gran slips her a fiver every now and then

Beatrice is still in school;maybe she'll end up getting a job when she's done.We'll just have to wait and see.She's going to inherit a large amount of money so she really doesn't have to work,but just know how to take care of her investments,so,hopefully she'll take business and economics classes.But,she may be interested in the arts and run an art gallery...like some of her cousins.

Well...she just turned 18... and is going to attend a college in America..so just like ALMOST every college student..she doesnt have a job..yet!

..if I was a royal..I would most definately act like one! So who can blame her? BUT..being royal is NORMAL to her..so she will want to do something a little different..that excites her!
