NO
Nothing at all about Liverpool is funny.
I'll tell you what would be funny though...
Cutting Liverpool off and let it drift over to Ireland, let them put up with the 'Scallies' (nobody is ever a crim in Liverpool, just a scally)

Yes, Scousers are funny. The Liverpool accent is funny in itself, but the people have a natural comedy in them. It's a bit like the Irish sense of humour and, as John Lennon said, Liverpool is "an Irish place."

No, they aren't. And I wish they'd stop acting like the scalley from the alley they obviosuly aren't.
I note with interest that this question is in the 'myths and folklore' section. That tells you as much as you need to know about scousers and their supposed 'sense of humour'.
Their sense of humour is no more or less than anyone else's.

I just love Scousers and think they are really lovely people, so friendly and kind, I am beginning to worry big time about this site now because not only are people asking stupid racist questions about Asians and Africans now there starting on people from different areas of the UK, stop it and ask something decent.

I think they are funny. My MSN friend is Liverpudlian and so are my next door neighbours. Paul O' Grady isn't a funny Liverpool man though.

Not necessarily! They probably have the same ratio of humourous people as anywhere else, maybe the accent makes them sound funnier? (I'm a northerner so not taking the pee!)
