Need Neopets help... My child recently openned an account with neopets.com, can someone out there help?

Question

Problem #1: We got an activation email, but every time we try to enter the code it gives an error "This is an invalid activation code!" We typed in in exactly as it was in the activation email, also tried all caps and lowercase. Nothing works and we cannot use things like the bank or apply to build a neohome.

We can play some things with the Neopet but not all because we get the message "Your account is not active yet!"

Problem #2: Every time we go to the money tree (where you can supposively get donated items) the items are already taken, we get the message "Oops! Too late...somebody seems to have taken that item while you were pondering." Even if we choose quickly the item is always gone. We have done this over and over but always get the same error. Are you really able to get anything from the money tree?

Also, if anyone has any other Neopet tips we would greatly appreciate the advice, its a big site for a young child to understand.

You could try writing to them, doubt if they will answer though, I have written to them on several occasions but I have been ignored. As for the money tree, you have to have patience, you will get there eventually. You have to think they might have a lot of people trying to grab what you want from the money tree at the same time. #1: When you recieve the email with the activation code, there should be a link that automatically enters the code for you. If it does not work, you should contact the neopets team or make a new account.
#2: It is difficult to get items out of the Money Tree, but it is possible to get items from it. What I normally do is, right when I click "Try Again", before the page and the pictures load, click on the spot where an item would appear when it fully loads.

1.Every month you can go to http://www.neopets.com/freebies and get free items for each of your pets and 2000 points.
2.If you go to http://www.neopets.com/prehistoric/omelette.phtml?rand=38436 you can get a free slice of omlette daily.

I'm really sorry about the activation code, there's nothing I can do without going into the e-mail myself. But the Money Tree is really hard to do, you have to position the mouse exactly where you can click on something, then you refresh the page and as soon as you see something there, click. You can't choose, but you can usually get something if you try for long enough. I've even gotten an expensive petpet, worth 6000 neopoints!

There must surely be a way to report an account being hacked on neopets though? It happened to my sister too, but she just made about 10 more. If your parents don't want her making another account, get in touch with the support team on the website and get them to cancel that account. I don't know if you can do that, but I'm guessing you should, as it must happen to loads of people?

the money tree is for people that have zero money, and they dont want jus anybody to take stuff, its a donation not a free for all. also usually they send you an email with the activation code link in it, all you have to do is press that and it shoulld go.
