Why do Europeans love communism? They should try talking to chinese like my friend who escape china so he can be free from the comminust govt. Also Cubans flee in thousands so they can escape the brutal dictatorship of Fidel. It seems these days only country with human desency is the USA.

Communism is not quite the way you understand it. You see things that are exceptions and do not represent either the needs of the people or government. China was repressed...by whom...the Emperors, the Japanese or the corrupt regime under Chiang Kai Shek or Chairman Mao. With the emperors, the nation was broken in fiefdoms and there was no cohesion or unity. Chiang with his buddy Big-eared Tu manipulated thing so that th nation was losing power to the Green Gang IBig-eared Tu was a major drug smuggler) and after the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, and the deaths of many Chinese, Chairman Mao formed a resistance to the Japanese and then had to contend with a corrupt faction under Chiang (supported by such noble men as Luce, Everette Dirkesen. Wendell Wilkie and the big money boys in the states, with substantial aid from the government...about three billion dollars worth. Mao had to react against the corruption and did the same as McCarthy did in the 50s...he cleaned house, perhaps more forcefully...and many of those that fled were land-owners, therefore...suspect as being corrupt. Many Chinese realize that Mao was harsh, but most recognize that he make the country come together and become the success that it is today. I am an American and live in China and I find no difference between here and the US...I have the same rights and freedom as a resident that I had in America.

It is a fact that very few people know what is communism. Communism is a very simple ideology which is very difficult to practice. It is based on the principles of equity , equality. In a communist society , individuals are not important , rather the nation is important. What ever resource you have , what ever you produce, is all for the nation, and the state will give back the citizens everything equally no matter what you produce or do for the nation. There is no private investment because it leads to accumulation of wealth in some peoples hands. Though this system seems to be simple , it is very difficult to bring it into practice , as we human beings are "selfish". Let me explain. A person who has 10 sheep’s and a person who has 2 sheep’s: both of them will get the same facilities from the government;(It doesn’t matter the first matter work harder to look after 10 sheep’s). An athlete who trains in the snow of Siberia , wins the Gold medal in international competitions, again that is for the nation ; nothing is for him while in a capitalistic country he can live like a king(bourgeoisie). A person with 5 hectors of land and another person with .50 cents of land receive same facilities from government(includes educations, social services, medical , transport and so on....)despite the fact the man with 5 hectors work hard. This lead to a situation where the production decreased , motivation of the people decreased(Man with 10 goats ate 8 of them, making himself equal to the other man, he he he ). Now the communist rulers started dictatorship , leading to forced labour , collectivisation of products, collective farming and so on......... In fact it was one of Americas hidden agenda to destroy communism and communist countries. Do you think America is the only country humanism? Since world war, America is the country which went into war with the most number of countries to retain power , to list some of them, Cuba, Korea, Vietnam, Algeria, Liberia, Afghanistan , Iraq ,Cambodia, Grenada, Somalia, Sudan , Bosnia: the first and ever country to use nuclear weapon killing millions in second(In fact America was testing the strength of their new weapon), imposed sanctions of Iraq killing thousand of young children, created dictators like Saddam and Taliban regime in Afghanistan, sell weapons to other countries and make money. Why is not America not interested to bring democracy in Burma, Cuba , china and North Korea ? Why America supports the Israel to kill thousand in Palestine and nearby countries? Do you still think America is decent?

The average european is much more educated and more cultured than the average American and he doesn't suffer of the McArthic communisticophovia syndrom.
Just consider how rich is non communistic America (external deficit??? near to bankrumpsy????) and how poor is communistic China (23 billion US dollars surplus, for the first quarter 2006)
Well....take the results by urself......
and don't start telling fairytails for freedom and Democracy because these ones are a bigger issue and you won't win.

Who says Europeans like communism? Europeans don't intervene into other country's political system as USA. I as European would not like to live in a communistic country, but I don't want to judge other country's system. We don't act like imperialist like USA. What we like is differences that each country make special.

P.S.: you didn't understand me. Of course EU have word about world problems, but we don't occupy other country and try to change them (UK maybe, bot not other country's) because they have wrong system or "they are danger to the world".

P.S: What is my business if Cuba has communistic system? Country in EU which want to be a port of European unity must accept capitalism- by their own will. But what is our business about other country's?
