My nana used to tell me to mix the white bit of an egg and lemon juice mix it together then apply to your face. Your face will go really tight then wash it off! Im 21 now and I used to get blackheads all over my face and now they have all gone! Its a really good way of getting rid of them.

Use Oil Cleansing Method, this is far better than commercial face washes because it does not stip your skin of the oil it needs to stay healthy and keep your pores free from dirt - note commercial cleansers and washes contain chemicals that are harmful to your skin and your health.

Most people start out with 50 % Extra Virgin Olive Oil [EVOO] and 50% Castor Oil [CO], the EVOO is moisturising and the CO is cleansing – if you have really oily skin you may want to start with a slightly different mix say 25:75 EVOO:CO because that means you are getting more of the cleansing oil. Another very good oil to use is Jo-joba oil because it is very similar to the natural oils already on your face – I recommend you try the EVOO:CO mix and if you find skin reacts well to that (or if it reacts badly – which I doubt it will) then switch over to 100% Jo-joba oil. OCM can be customised as her skin-type changes and tea tree or lavender essential oils can be added in small amounts to help prevent spots, blackheads and help healing.

To cleanse put the oil onto your face, then take a wash cloth that has been soaked in hot water, as hot as you can stand, wring it out and put it over your face for a minute before then wiping all the oil off you face. The oil acts as a cleanser to take all the filth from your skin, the hot face cloth also then opens up the pores. Then follow with a toner such as Rosewater or a very watered down Witchhazel.

The reason it works is because as well as cleaning out the pores it keeps your skin healthy, unlike face wash it does not remove the skins natural oils that help to keep the skin healthy – also when this oil is removed the skin over-produces oil to make up for the loss, thus when the oil in the skin becomes detrimental rather than beneficial and causes spots.

Even though I'm a boy, is still use things to get rid of spots now and again. Ive found 'Witch Hazel', bought from the pharmacy pretty cheaply, is the best way to get rid of black heads. Just dab a bit on with cotton wool at night and in the morning the spot is just a blemish, and the day after that it'll be gone.

Just ask for distilled Witch Hazel at your local pharmacy and then u'll be sorted

You can get a 'thermal' blackhead cleanser (Clinique do one there are lots of others available), which are supposed to clear the blackheads out. You can also get a little impliment to squeeze them if you want - you should avoid using your fingernails as it might scar and get infected. Keep your skin clean and drink lots of water. If you're still not happy, go back to your doc and ask to be referred to a dermatologist. Good luck.

Blackheads are skin oils and dirt/dust clogging the pores...Have you tried Selsun, use the Selsun carefully as it can make your skin painful...so one or twice a day only. Another method is to use alcohol wipes to remove some of the oil. Be careful of diet....sweets tend to promote them...don't squeeze them as you may get an infection....frequent washing with mild soap also helps.

I usually do a steam facial followed by a gel cleanser from Neutrogena. That usually helps to keep them off for awhile.

Dont squeeze the blackheads as it will just push them futher into your skin and form large pores on your face.
Try steaming your face as it will open your pores and draw the blackheads out!

I wouldn't try and squeeze them out, as that could make them infected. drink lots of water and this should help. I haven't found a cure yet, so let me know if you find one.
The boots botanicals clay mask and body shop's blue corn mask seem to help shrink the size of them.

I read somewhere that using equal parts baking soda and water. Mix it in your hand and then rub it on the problem-prone areas on your face....it's supposed to work.
