PS: Which country are u in? How many days of public holidays u enjoy every year?

I love to have more holidays! Maybe we should all mix all Religions with their Holi days and then we have a lot of holidays!

I get 12 paid holidays each year (USA). Why do we need another? Holidays have simply become an excuse to get drunk or to expect gifts. Does anyone really remember what Memorial Day or Veterans Day are really about? Do we even care? We have become a nation of lazy people looking for a reason NOT to work. So sad.

Most holidays are just days to me. There are only a few holidays that I even care about. Those holidays are Valentines Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I used to love Halloween until it became to dangerous to go out trick or treating.

New Year's Day
Easter
Canada Day (July 1)
BC Day (First Monday in August)
Labour Day
Thanksgiving
Remembrance Day
Christmas
Boxing Day

Honestly, the best way would be to move to another country!! Germany, for instance, has more observed religious Holidays than the USA

I dont want holidays to increase. im happy with the number there is now. i love christmas thanksgiving and easter becuz i always my family alway goes to go to my granpaws house and my aunt makes the best food. those are the only holidays that matter to me.

You need a very strong lobby to get a holiday in America.
Here in China, they have 12 short holidays of one day and four large ones, that are a week each.

In Brazil every time they win the world cup it becomes a national holiday, so lets put pressure on our players to win so that we can rest 1 extra day.
