Teams already have enough difficulty keeping the majority of their players healthy through a sixteen game season. Sure, as a fan, I'd love to see more games, but the reality of the situation is that the game is just too hard on the body. Careers would be dramatically shortened, and the talent level would go down, with second and third stringers playing frequently.

I agree with the guy who said if they do to scrap the preseason. I love football too, I would enjoy watching more games too. On the other hand part of what makes it so great is that you don't have the OD on it like you get trying to watch 162 Baseball games or 82 hockey games. You get a short schedule like that so you enjoy it even more.

As a football fan that would be great, but as a player the season is long enought as it is, i play high school football and that season seams long, but 16 games plus 4 preseason, thats 21 week of hard practice and 20 grueling games, not to mention post season.

Unless they're going to add more teams, no. A 16 game schedule works well with a 32-team league.

No because it would not come right down to a coin toss. particular i imagine I heard someplace round 70% of the communities that win the toss score on their first possesion yet when your crew can't play protection or particular communities how good can they be. particular that is not straightforward in spite of the undeniable fact that it is why NFL communities are inspired to have a good protection that isn't spoil down at the same time as it particularly concerns.

I don't think so. I love football too, but extending the season two more games may prove hazardous to the health and safety of the players, especially those who make the playoffs and last through the Super Bowl.
Chow!!

they would have to make some of these preseason games count. the players stay in shape year round regardless and it would be cool to watch summer games that count

I would like to see it happen, and I agree that if they do that, they need to do away with some preseason games. Teams should get their ideas about their starting lineup during camp, not preseason. If you don't know how your team plays on the field, you haven't been practicing very well.
