16 months ago I had a tubal litigation, from about three months later I have had been diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis over and over again I get treated and it comes back again.I don't know what to do.My quality of life,my relationship has changed. My obgyn said they do not think it is related then why else would I still be getting it?I only sleep with my husband ,I have been on some web sites that said it is common in people with multiple partners. some say you can get it after having an abortion some say, after a surgical procedure so isn't a tubal a surgical procedure?I have no insurance I can't always go to a dr.when I need to I have been diagnosed with this like five times already and not to mention the time when I couldn't go to a dr.If anyone knows anything please let me in on any information you may have.

I had a tubal ligation several years ago, I would say probably 20 yrs ago and I have never in my life had any kind of infection. I have not even had a yeast infection.

So I can not help you on this other to say that mine has never cause me any problems.

I have had a tubal also and everysince I had it I have been prone to bacterial infections. My doctor have not been able to explain to me at all. he sent me to get a std check and it all came back clean. Im constantly getting infections but the thing is I have not been sexually active since having my baby that has been over a year ago. I think it has something to do with the surgery. Maybe you wanna be sure that ur husband is not messing around (please dont take that the wrong way) but My doctor has told me that vaginosis can be a form of a std, but you also have to remember that our body is going thru a change because of the surgery

I've had a similar problem. Start eating yogurt everyday. Yoplait or another kind with active bacteria in it. An 8 oz. cup of yogurt every day is a great prevention method. It's what they used to treat BV back in the day before antibiotics. There's also a new feminine wash available at Wal-Mart and drug stores, it's called Ph something....but it's made to use regularly as a prevention method for BV and yeast infections.

If you a douche it will give you BV because it destroys all your good bacteria. If you are, get treated and stop. The more you douche the more you will smell. You can take Flagyl (metronidazole) in one dose (4-7 pills at one time) and it will get rid of it or you can take it 3 times a day for 7 days. You can also be allergic to your husband's sperm.

I had a tubal ligataion 7 years ago and haven't had any problems. Talk to your Dr again and talk to your partner.

Your husband has to be treated to or he will keep giving it back to you. You have to avoid baths for a while as well. I would recommend alternative natural therapies...they are less toxic and having been treated for BV you've killed all the good bacteria.
