Personally I think the Church of $cientology is a Destructive Cult.
Yes South Park was accurate when it displayed the message "This is what scientologists really believe".
Not only have ex-members all come out and told this story about OT III where Xenu & Body Thetans are explained but it has also come out in court trials where Scientology agreed these materials were the real OT III that the Church(Cult) charges thousands of dollars for.

It is so obviously true, that even Wikipedia is able to maintain its article, http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/xenu
So Scientology - STOP LYING!!!! And accept this info. is in the public domain... (and stop suing them too)

What court judges have to say about scientology:

I think this one says a lot:
"Scientology is both immoral and socially obnoxious...It is corrupt sinister and dangerous. It is corrupt because it is based on lies and deceit and has its real objective money and power for Mr. Hubbard... It is sinister because it indulges in infamous practices both to its adherents who do not toe the line unquestionably and to those who criticize it or oppose it. It is dangerous because it is out to capture people and to indoctrinate and brainwash them so they become the unquestioning captives and tools of the cult, withdrawn from ordinary thought, living, and relationships with others."
Justice Latey, ruling in the High Court of London:
It's great that there is so much information on the web, and it's only thanks to the internet that the lid has been blown of scientology. South Park has helped greatly by doing this episode, at their own risk as well, it's a good thing they are so popular & have a lot of money - otherwise the CofS would have buried them in legal stuff.
Well done for asking this question and letting people know about the trappings of Scientology...

It's a little too crazy for me. If people believe in it, that's fine, just don't try to push it on others. There is this guy that sets up a tent on my campus and tries to talk to people about scientology. They have some wierd stuff in that tent. I have even changed my pathways just to avoid this guy.
I think Tom Cruise really ruined any legitimate aspects of the religion, and now it is seen as a joke to many people. I'm not saying it is right or wrong, I would just prefer to stick with my old religion.

People will believe what they want to believe...but I do think it's odd that they have built a "religion" from a sci-fi book "Dianetics" by L. Ron Hubbard. Very odd...then again, look who follows it...couch jumpers!! LOL!!
I was disappointed in the South Park episode where they lambasted Chef...Isaac Hayes was an integral part of that show for, what? 6 years...he deserved a little more respect than that. That was the episode that turned me off of the show completely...very immature and disrespectful on their part.

do no longer concern, you are able to save being open minded approximately religions ordinarily, on an identical time as understanding that Scientology isn't in that team. Scientology isn't a faith. it extremely is a company, masquerading as a faith. because of the fact the corporate is on the subject count of "the suggestions" (which will not be able to be considered) it pretends that is coping with "the spirit" extremely -- so as to dodge any issues on the subject count of training psychology and not applying a license, and to grant it some protections from prying eyes of the government (religions are greater often than not left on my own by applying government, different than while there are abuses, which Scientology commits and hides). surely, Scientology isn't an effectual scientific care, yet is surely a con -- the finished element. because Scientology isn't a valid faith, it tries to legitimize itself. It heavily recruits up and coming celebrities (actors LOVE interest, and Scientology is conscious the thank you to pour that on heavily) to apply in its "public kinfolk" campaigns. Scientology thinks that those endorsements by applying celebrities will make others think of Scientology is valid, subsequently they are going to get greater individuals paying into their coffers. Like I mentioned, that is purely a con.

There was a documentary on Discovery or A&E or one of those channels a few months ago.
Anyone who wants to follow a religion started by a Science Fiction writer who believes they're waiting for a space ship to beam them up....well....sounds like Science Fiction, doesn't it?
And the sadder question is what does it say about all of the people who believe in it?

I've read the Wikipedia article on it (as well as seen that episode) and I have to say that it's some pretty weird stuff.
I'd tell you some more about it, but I have to hide my new baby...and I'll need a couch...to jump on.
