With reference to the widespread panic at the airports today. Have the authorities nipped it in the bud or can we soon expect something to happen?

A lot of the horses have bolted. Bill Clinton US pres and womaniser had the chance to send Osama Bin laden to the moon but was too busy playing with cigars and Monica to take action.
If he had gotten him Al Queda would be nothing today.

Thing is, we got the bast@rds today. Will we be as lucky tomorrow?

Whilst it seems that they may have caught this one, it doesn't mean something else isn't going on.

I can't help thinking that whilst the relevant authorities are distracted by what's happened at the airports, there would be lesser vigilence in other places, meaning it might be quite easy for them to carry out an attack somewhere else.

I think another attack is inevitable, but let's just hope that our intellegence services continute to do a great job and stop these idiots from causing any more harm.

Kind of, it's more like they've caught the horse, put it in a different, more secure stable, but shut the other stable door anyway..
Apparently they say a terrorist attack is 'imminent' yet surely even terrorists have enough sense to realise that they're not going to be able to get away with it now... if anything, there's less of a risk than there was.

God knows ...
It could be another " PR " for the security forces after all, nobody is truthful these days ...

To karljt:
I think your teacher did not punish you enough as you can not spell even now !
So by your reckoning, if the British in Iraq abuses, kills and tortures Iraqi people, then the Iraqi's should put a bomb in a British plane to collectively "punish" the British public, for not having done their bit, and make the bad ones unpopular ??
Some logic ...

Coming from an aviation background I feel for the Airline and Airport Staff. THey turned up to do an honest days work and have to deal with this today. The check in staff, security, Operations etc are having to deal with this stressful extra work and potential abuse from the public. THe security forces have done their bit now. Please be thoughtful and considerate to those working at the airports!

It's the same old same old, and god forbid if we hadn't had stopped them who knows what would have happened.. They are doing all they can so personally I think the security staff need a pat on the back..

Its nobody's fault if sick people choose to take their lives and everybody elses we can only be vigilant..
