No. The gender of a baby is determined ONLY by which chromosome the sperm carries. Not by position in bed, or at work..
this can't be a serious question.

I dunno about all that. lol I've heard a lot of wives' tales about this subject. It is true that a baby's sex is determined by the parenting father's chromosome. And the girl swimmers are faster than the boy swimmers, but the boy ones will live longer. The point is that if a man has a high testosterone level, he'll generally be more aggressive, and more fertile. He'll shoot a bigger load, harder and faster than a more passive man. This would make his chances higher of having a girl b/c of the amount of semen, the faster girl swimmers are going to be more likely to make it their first.

On the other hand, a less agressive male, whom is more likely to have a desk job than hard labor, would have a higher chance of having a boy b/c his load is smaller and the toughest will survive, if you get where I'm going with that. This is just my theory as some basis to that wives' tale. Other than that, you can just look at whether or not there are more males versus females in his family to see what the chances are that you have either sex.

It stands to reason that some occupations could be affected. For example if you job required you to wear very hot constricting clothing or some other odd thing, but in general I would say the answer is no.

I've never heard about that:) may be, it's something to do with physical labour - u know, they say sperm concentration is lower if a person works physically a lot. so,may be desk kind of job means higher sperm concentration, therefore, more likely a baby boy?

That funny. I had the same job when my daugther and son was born, different only a year. You may think maybe the mum's occupation, but my wife also work the same job.

hell no. thats just plain not logical.....if science cant determine exactly what the baby's gender is going to be what makes you think something as superstitous as that will?....have you heard the one where if the mother's stomache hangs low its a boy and if her stomach is high its a girl? or vice versa.....no way to know for sure.....

That's gotta be the stupidest myth I've ever heard. My husband was actually unemployed when we got pregnant, so obviously it has NO bearing on it, or we wouldn't have a baby!
