i've done both and i'm leaning toward countryside. wouldn't mind being 30 or so minutes from a big city, but that generally means suburbs which doesn't quite cut it. i need room for some rhode island reds ... and a goat.

crap schools, long drives and ignorant rednecks in the country.
crap schools, long lines and ignorant ghetto folk in the city.
(+ crime)

The suburbs are great while they last.
