I think it should be going through. China censors some stuff though, so Yahoo! might be required to filter the messages according to some criteria. Try sending a different message. If that doesn't work, you could also go to yahoo.com.ch to register another email address. Also, try getting your friend to email you so you only have to click reply to one of his messages to get his address right. Good luck!
OK, I think I have your problem solved. The address cannot possibly be yahoo.com.ch, because there is no such domain. Try sending it to yahoo.ch instead. http://www.yahoo.ch is in German, but it's the most similar thing to what you've posted that I can think of. Good luck!

try to recheck the address, ask your pal again if its correct... try removing the ch thing...
but the best thing you can do is ask your friend if its the right email..
or simply asking him if the address is still active... coz if its not then its not gonna work....
