My heart goes out to Dami's parents, I've just read about what sort of people the killers are and what they have done in the past. Who thinks that a paltry 3 year sentence is going to change a thing? They are worthless scum in my opinion, what suggestions do you have for stiffer punishment?

Lets hope someone on the inside will do the decent thing and cut them up - see how they like it.

basically they have been allowed to get away with murder ....
the justice system in this country sucks ... i kinda feel sorry for the police at times they go out catch the criminals just so the judges can either let these animals free or give them a ridiculous sentence !!
just live in hope of karma .... and that they will get theirs in the end ....

Who thinks this was a loaded question?!

But still i do agree - sentencing in this country is just ridiculous. I think the whole legal system needs a total over haul, and much tougher sentencing needs to be brought in - in my opinion including the re-introduction of the death penalty, but that's a whole separate issue.

This was a senseless and un-provoked murder, with no real apparent motive as far as I know. This childes life was taken from him for no reason, and the people who took it will lose a mear 3 years of there own. How they managed to get murder downgraded to manslaughter I will never understand, but I've noticed this happening a lot in the news. When these guys get out they will still be in there early 20's and have there whole lives ahead of them, this is no real punishment for the crimes they committed.

Anyone who takes a life should be banged up for life, but there are to many 'do gooders' that make excuses for these scum bags..... they came from a broken home..... they was not loved..... they are dragged up without morals or boundaries.... there parents must feel so proud of them.... lock em up and throw away the key.... and as we all know polictican don't give a f**k about the human race.... they are more interested in money and power. They should bring back hanging.... or injection or let the parents have them.

I am horrified that three years is all they have.

That is half the sentence Damilola's family have lived without knowing who was responsible for their child's death.
The Taylor's will have to live with a life sentence for what these vermin have done.

I would go with 15 years, including some nice rock breaking included in the sentence.

This is just another example of how much of a joke the justice system is. Look at what happened to the murderers of little Jamie Bulger. They are living it up in anonymity. They should rot in Hell along with the other scum.
We should adopt the policy of 'An eye for an eye'. That way we wouldn't have to pay to keep those bastards alive.

I know it's wrong but let's hope they get what's coming to them inside. It's an insult what they have been sentenced and is a blatant advertisement for bringing capital punishment back. Why have they received such light sentences are they saying it's because of their age because I'm sorry but they are old enough to know better and they deserve whatever happens to them.

Yes I agree but then i think that capital punishment should be brought back.. As a parent myself I can't imagine being without my children let alone putting flowers on their graves.. It doesn't bear thinking about.. But that said my heart goes out to the family

I haven't read the full article yet, but I know they were young when they did it, which just makes me think, if you can do something like that at such a young age, imagine what those boys are going to be like as adults.

They should never be allowed to walk out streets again.

They should have got more, but for the person who advocated capital punishment that would never have been a choice even if it was still on the statute book as they were convicted of manslaughter not murder

Is that all they got? Three years? Disgraceful. It's been 6 years since this little boy was left to bleed to death. Did he cry for him Mummy as he lay in his own pool of blood? That's 6 years his parents have missed him every day. 3 years is outrageous.
