but i saw that show The View once where they made remarks about arab people on planes and how they wouldnt want to sit next to a bearded muslim guy, and no one says they have a problem?

Mel is going into treatment for alcoholism not for what he has said. I agree with you about the View I have heard alot of racist remarks on that show and others and no one cares. It is because Mr. Gibson is rich and powerful that the media and everyone else went after him. I have heard alot of people say alot of stupid things when they are wasted. If you meet these people when they are straight it is not something that they think about or would say. Alcoholism is a mental disease and should be treated as such. Racism is also a disease and if he really ment what he said and was not sorry about it then he needs our love and support to rid him of this disease. Let him that be without sin cast the first stone.

Why did the Jews give him so much static when he made the movie about Christ? See, that's where it started. Mel should apologize but the Jews running Hollywood should first apologize for starting the whole thing. Mel was stressed because of persecution, behind the scenes. Mel got drunk, and it all came out.
The more important question is: how does Hollywood remain almost completely dominated by Jews? Obviously, they are the bigots, promoting Jews as actors, or producers, etc...to remain in control. Does it make me feel good that Jewish people, who hate Jesus, are instructing the world through movies, TV, etc? They remain in control because they are practicing bigotry. That is why Mel was so stressed.

Since when did anti-semetic remarks become against the law, he was driving drunk, he has issues with the jews, lets all face it mel despises jews the only reason he is sorry is because he still needs his job. Who cares we have a presendential elect candidate make racial slur remarks and no one seems to care.....Get over it people mel gibson is no different than any of us he was just the one who was stupid enough to say it in front of the world. Im sure somewhere there are jews and other races of people that say their racist comments behind closed doors.

Mel Gibson is not going to rehab because he made anti-semitic remarks - he is going to rehab because of his alcoholism. I don't watch the view because I think it is a silly gossipy show. I am sure whatever remarks they made about Arabs were poorly choosen. But don't worry - Gibson can come out of rehab and make more anti-semetic remarks.

in my view, i'm a brilliant fan of Thessalonians 2, verse 12 -- that is not anti-gay or something like that, yet talks approximately condemning human beings, so that is cool. This states that persons who have self belief lies are going to Hell. So... the checklist of those going to Hell occurs to contain the those that informed me to ascertain the Bible interior the 1st place. candy, candy irony...

He is just admitting that maybe he has a drinking problem.
Also because he has such a big public profile, he has been targetted, while some very offensive and racist comments are made regularly on these answer forums.

......anti semetism requires a different treatment......the media didn't mention what he was going to do to fix that....

Its beacuse mel has a problem with drinking! they didnt send him to rehabilitation for dsaying those things stupid!
