Yellow urine is caused by 2 things- either vitamins (Which makes expensive pee) or your body is slightly dehydrated- supposedly if you drink enough water until you pee clear, that means your adequitely hydrated.
When urine turns brown, maybe red, it means your peeing blood- usually caused from a kidney stone.
A kidney stone feels like being gut shot with a 30-06 rifle- except the pain doesn't go away and you usually won't die from it.
The only thing you can do is drink massive- as much as possible- of distilled water. Your body will pass as much of the distilled water as possible, take a few asprin and drink 1/4 cup of vinegar to help make your body acidic (Kidney stones are normally alkali) so that will also help disolve it- good luck

The less the urine is yellow, the better your body is hydrated. Ideally people should pass urine with only a tinge of yellow in it because that means they're drinking enough water. The more dark (yellow) the urine is, the more concentrated it is and it means that body thinks it can't afford to lose any more water (its not getting enough in) so it has to conserve what it has. So the more water a person drinks, the better it is except for more than 7 liters a day...that's water intoxication and can be quite deadly.

If it is a normal yellow, it is normal. If it is dark yellow, you have to find out.
