Sorry but you are making a huge generalisation here. I don't, and never have, felt the only way to have fun is by getting drunk.

Many "girls" do feel the need o get drunk, but this could be down to many things. Some people purely like the drunk out of control feeling, whereas other people have other reasons too. Some people feel they need to drink to keep up with their mates or fit in to a social norm. Other people feel that alcohol gives them extra confidence so they are able to dance or go up to a man etc.

I would hope that most girls grow out of this as they gain confidence and take on more responsibility.

I think it is a juvenile thing. When I was16 you weren't quoted unless you went out on the razz and made a fool of yourself, you were seen as uncool so it is a peer pressure thing to do it. Following on into legality I formed a pattern of behaviour based on this quoted thing which became normality. It was not until I reached about 25 I though this is no fun anymore, why am I actualy doing it? I undertook changes and filles my life with fitness and enjoyable pleasure activities.

I'm 25, I go out have a few drinks but always stop myself from being so drunk I can't walk home, or deal with a situation.
My parents taught us to respect alcohol for what is it, and never to use it to excess. we have always been allowed to drink at home and never had any reason to binge drink in secret.
Neither of my brothers drink any alcohol at all they are both younger than me (18 & 23).

Its got to the point where my friends have gotten used to me not goin with the flow of goin out and gettin smashed every weekend and my bank balance is a whole lot healthier.

It's basically a younger girls thing. When you become older and more mature women realise they cannot carry on like that for ever or if they do will devleop major health problems. When women gain confidence and interest in hobbies and activities for themselves that is when they discover natural enjoyment from life.

to any girl that considers it good fun to get out of their head on alchol should remember the damage they are doing to their body and to their family that may have short term fun but others people they love and themselves will only end up with long term heart ache

I used to drink alot and it was mainly because i didnt feel comfortable myself when sober, after a drink (or six) i could be the person i wanted to be - funny, socialble, exciting, sexy etc. I have now stopped drinking and worked on myself and am now confident enough to enjoy myself without alcohol.

I now see just how stupid i must of looked when drunk as i feel quite embarrased for girls when they are drunk and acting daft.

Feeling comfortable with yourself when sober is a great feeling - i'd urge more girls to try it!

With 20% of girls binge drinking they will have health problems later, also girls are more like men these days they have no delicate femenine qualities left, no style, no reservations, no beauty. Basically women are now men with fannies and very agressive to use them to their advantage. That's why more and more men seek foreign girls.

I don't think it's just girls. A lot of grown men seem to feel the same. It's a good question - not sure you will receive an honest answer though.

Have a good time these days by GIVING and RECEIVING head on alcohol....well seems like a regular Sat night to me. *shrug* whats the problem...not getting any head while drunk or are you giving too much head and not getting anything in return. That's a shame...i hate when guys are lazy and don't appreciate a willing drunk girl......
