British police thwart aircraft bomb plot

LONDON - British authorities thwarted a terrorist plot to blow up several aircraft mid-flight between the United States and Britain using explosives smuggled in hand luggage, officials said Thursday.
Britain's Home Secretary John Reid said the alleged plot was "significant" and that terrorists aimed to "bring down a number of aircraft through mid-flight explosions, causing a considerable loss of life."
Police arrested a number of people overnight in London after a major covert counterterrorism operation that had lasted several months, but did not immediately say how many.

The difference is this.........we do investigate and arrest IF there is signifigant intelligence that indicates something will happen. We don't wait until it happens before we act. After 7/7 they had people in custody within days. Has the US ever arrested anybody for 9/11? The answer is NO............so YES I would say UK intelligence is FAR SUPERIOR to US intelligence.

In fact both of them are not compared to the intelligent success stories of indian intelligent agencies. India is more susceptible and vulnerible to terrorism than her Britain and USA. The problem in India, the success stories of the Indian Intelligence Agencies are never highlighted, as their flaws get boosted by you media guys.

Perhaps the British police is successfully but their governors are not.They at tact some dangerous center and than they see contrattack.M.I.1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,..Prence Charles is their commander.. make some operations overseas..Invite some terrorist to Motherland.Like C.I.A. and USA,...Mossat and Israel...In history ..KGB and SS RU.. all this are for Peace..:)
