Ther r no restriction from server.fireWall is medium. now when i visit yahoo its ok,but when i click mail it showing a message "mail.yahoo.com.... could not found". & this prolem happen for every site(i.e I can open any other site but not their mail)
It's very confusing.

It sounds like the proxy server disabled visits to that domain. That happens when the proxy host operator is afraid of drawing too much bandwidth or possibly breaking the law. Another problem could be that cookies have to be set for you to view your mail. I don't know if a proxy server can relay cookies to you without making you lose your anonymity, but it seems like they could not do it. all the best

This is the scenario when your Proxy server is acting as firewall.
This firewall is blocking access to all mail sites

The Firewall settings you written above represents your local system i.e Linux default firewall

Please check with your Network/System administrator regarding
this mail sites issue

have you configured your email application to also take advantage of the proxy server?

Just because you tell firefox or whatever other web browser your using to utilize proxy..chances are the email app is still just trying to go out and query port 110/143 directly.

i think you may use squid ,so u must allow your ip Address in both squid.conf andalso you need to allow that ip address in Nat file .Try it

if u have installed ne antivirus it might have blocked it
