As most internet crimes do not fall under local law or some state laws, you will want to file a complaint federally. In conjunction with the national white crime center and the Federal Burue of Investigations, the Internet Crime Complaint Center was created. Here is where you will want to file any internet related crimes. The url is listed in the resources section. Hope this helps ya out.

Yes, and you should do so. If you are in the United States, you can report Internet crimes to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Trade Commission or the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. In Canada, report Internet scams to PhoneBusters or the appropriate provincial securites commission. In the United Kingdom, report Internet scams to the Office of Fair Trading, the Financial Services Authority or the Metropolitan Police.

A useful Web site for reporting Internet crime wherever you live is found at the URL address .

There used 2 B a site dedicated 2 reporting Internet Scams here in the UK.
But right now I don't seem 2 B able 2 find it.
It's always wise 2 report any scams 2 UR Internet Supplier, they're more geared up 2 understanding/investigating problems.
& if a Crime has been committed, they will bring the Police in.

Depends on where it is coming from. If it is coming from your country or state then you can. If it is done by overseas scammers there is nothing you can do because the local police cannot do anything against them.
Scam is a crime and they can potentially get penalized for doing so.
It may be hard to find out where the scam is coming from though.

If the scam is originating from outside the country, contact the FBI. I forward the "let us use your bank account" email scam letters to the FBI all the time.

If the scam is originating through an auction-site like ebay, contact the site-host and the payment-facilitator. If that doesn't get you a resolution, get the police involved. I fell victim to an ebay-scam, and was able to get the charges erased from my credit card. there were enough complaints about this vendor, that he is now under indictment in TN. Now he wants me to remove my negative feedback, in exchange for his removing mine. Fat chance.

Yes, you generally can. You'll need to be more specific about what sort of scam to get a more detailed answer.
