USC won "one" NCAA national championship in 2004 with Matt Leinart as their QB...In 2003 they were ranked #3 by the BCS so Oklahoma and LSU played in the Sugar bowl for the NCAA National Championship with LSU winning...In 2005 USC lost in the NCAA Championship game to Texas....The NCAA recognizes the BCS champion as its National Champion...

1 BCS championship the other one wasn't BCS but a split championship with LSU winning the BCS Championship.
