...instead of getting on with your lives?

Absolutely!

Although, i know that this shouldn't bother me in the slightest, its easier said than done.

I think because society seems to have its idealisms, if you dont fit into the catergories, you will be judged by others.

I know i get talked about because my dad tells me the neighbours comment on my hair, my clothes, my current boyfriend etc. One neighbour said 'she used to wear such nice things'!

The cheek of it!! I appreciate metal/gothic music and dress accordingly, my hair is bright red, although last week it was blue and black.

I've just learned to ignore the comments. I don't do anyone any harm and my life and everyone who's a part of it makes me happy.

People who judge are either bored with their own lives and so therefore become nosey! Otherwise, theyre just shallow and not worth the time of day!

Before I came round to thinking like this I even tried to 'dress to please' but at the end of the day, I wasn't being myself.

Each to their own I'd say!

I would be a liar if I said no to that question, although over the years I have tried not to worry too much, because thats then that means we question ourselves constantly about the way we are and that compromises your ability to be confident.

The way I look at it now, I just go out there and if people dont like me thats their problem and the only person i worry about and think about is myself.

All of us I think. Don't as much as I used to. I used to feel that people judged me because I'm a stay at home mum. People used to ask..."what do you do all day?" now that I have 3 kids, 2 under the age of 2. I think "try and do my job for a day, I can guarantee you'd rather be sat at your desk all day, just for a rest" Cheeky bastards.

I spent tooo many years trying toget people to like to no avail. I never did anything offensive they just decided at the start I wasn't worth liking.

Now I am just me and alot happier! My small circle of friends consists of REAL friends, I don't have to worry about backstabbing and sniping and we are all happy!

Growing up is great once you realise it is better and easier just to be yourself. I'd hate to be really popular!

Well... I don't care what people think of me. If they don't like me then its up 2 them. I am not going to worry about something as stupid as that. And neither should anyone else. There are people out there who like you for yourself and isn't going to judge you or whatever.

Why do this? Dress to impress? Not me sweets. I am who I am and that's the best me I can be.

I don't really care what anyone thinks, especially if they are not in my little circle of the world.
