I have been going back and forth between getting a dell pc or a apple macbook. I dont plan on majoring in graphics or anything like that. I have never used a mac before either. Only thing i dont like about a mac is the keyboard keys are spaced out and i heard the white macbook computer gets dirty quickly. I've always been a pc user but others have told me that a mac is great for school. Im just so confused. My choices for a dell are
1.Insprion E1505 or E1405
2.Latitude D620 or D680.
And for mac macbook in white.
I also consider portablity as a factor.I know mac can run windows xp and mac os. Im just not sure what laptop to get. I've done alot or reseach but im still not sure. I like pc's bc i know how to use them. But i have to decide on a laptop right away bc skuls gonna start, So if anyone can help that would be wonderful. Thank You.

I recommend a Macbook. macs are easy to clean and dirt is not a major problem. You can use Windows if you need it for certain programs.
Macs are really easy to use and you should have no trouble switching to it whatsoever. Everything works in almost the same way and some things are even easier to do. Also it is very safe to use a mac because you can surf the internet without the risk of getting infected with viruses or spyware. Keyboard is not really the most important thing you should look for in a computer.
The MacBook is extremely reliable and it should work fine for at least another 6 years. PC laptops do not last as long unless they cost a lot which you do not want. The Dell laptops have a high failure rate and you should not expect any PC laptop to work for as long as a Mac. The life of a PC laptop is usually around 3 or 4 years while mac can be used for 6 or 7.
In our school we have 6 year old Apple laptops and they still work. My PC laptop broke down after 4 years.

it matters.

1: Are you on a tight budget?
2: Are you good with a PC (meaning better than most users)
3: Do you need a PC for things a mac cant deliver (high performance, gaming, etc etc)

If the answer to all 3 is No, then get a mac. If its yes to some of them, then PCs will be a better solution for you.

I personally will never buy one anytime soon.

and good luck with "skul"

I wouldn't recommend a dell because I've heard they crash easily-- windows is very prone to crashes (especially at inconvenient times!). For school purposes, I would say go with the macbook. I might be getting that one , too. There's also a nice one called Alienware, but I'm unfamiliar with how they run. My advice would be if you're using it for school and anything related to graphics or just reliability go with mac, and if you want something that will play more games get p/c. Acer has some fine pc's for cheap prices! Check out these sites:
