Is August 22, Iran's date for world Armageddon?
I've recently heard this discussed ...but only on conservative talk shows, blogs and websites. The information is pretty scary ... supposedly Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told President Bush that he would get back to him the end of August about plans for Iran's nuclear power. I heard today the exact date was August 22nd.

What have you heard? Why is this getting exposure primarily from the conservatives?

On the Islamic calendar this date will be the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427, the commemoration of Muhammad's "night journey".

The Shiite belief is that by throwing the world into destructive chaos, the "13th Imam" will come, who is basically the Muslim messiah.

Ahmadinejad has made several references to this date.

Listen to Glenn Beck on the radio. There are so many scenarios it's mind boggling, but yes, Iran pres. has said that "We will show the WORLD" (note, "show" not "share our feelings in this issue") I think they've got something drastic in mind. Not Israel as many think, Iraq (Baghdad) is much closer and they could cripple our Army there with less than perfected tactical nukes. I don't think this is Armageddon, lots of other chips need to fall into place first. If you see a world peace plan from a guy with Roman roots and EU/UN ties, that makes alot of sense, and involves you registering for this to take place.......LET THEM CUT YOUR HEAD OFF!!!....don't take the mark. Common...That it's silly...On July 20, Iran said it would reply on August 22 to the Western package of incentives for ending its nuclear program. That it's all...Iran is not going to nuke anyone...
