Not all women have strong PSM effects, but the ones that do, suffer a lot.. I mean can you imagine sort of seeing yourself get soo angry that you start crying from anger, knowing deep down that its really exaggerated, but not being able to control it.. or watching a stupid movie, and not being able to control your tears?? You know you lead a wonderful life, and you are normally a happy person, but there are just these moments where you scream, and you can't help it.. and then there's the guilt to deal with. I have to vent.. and afterwards it's so humiliating to apologize.. but we have to deal with it every month.. men only have to deal with it if the "venting" is directed at them.. try being a little sympathetic, my husband is, he just lets me vent, and he knows I don't really mean it.. and he doesn't make a big deal of it.. therefore it passes quickly, and we can get on with our lives.. be patient.. we suffer a lot more..

blame it all on the hormones.
a cocktail of hormones are concocted in the blood during this month, which triggers tantrums n mood swings n acne excercebation etc are all the effects that syhchronise this.
it all effects the pituitary n hypothalamus.
it effects the brain.

wait a sec....all this happens to men as well, only difference is that they dont bleed. Its called androgen stimulation.

hence the hysteria begins.......

It's supposed to be because of the fluctuating hormonal levels.
Also, some women feel bloated or have cramps. That's not fun.

I didn't have cramps and my periods didn't affect me. I guess
I was that lucky. So... not all woman are like that. Don't generalize.
