Dear friends, Right now a tragedy is unfolding in the Middle East. Thousands of innocent civilians have been killed or wounded in the bombings in Lebanon, Palestine and Israel and the death toll is rising every day. If the US, Syria or Iran get involved, there is a chance of a catastrophic larger war.UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has called for an immediate ceasefire and the deployment of international troops to the Israel-Lebanon border, and been strongly supported by almost every world leader. This is the best proposal yet to stop the violence, but the US, the UK, and Israel have refused to accept it. I have just signed a petition calling on US President Bush, UK Prime Minister Blair, and Israeli Prime Minister Olmert to support Kofi Annan's proposal. If millions of people join this call, and we advertise our views in newspapers in the US, UK, and Israel, we can help pressure these leaders to stop the fighting. Go to the link below PLS!

these wars that profit only weapons manufacturers, energy barons, and other corporations owned by the wealthpowerful, are sold to frightened, adult-infant non-thinkers in america by a well-honed propaganda machine the repugnicants have been at work on for decades. (just ask karl rove about devious machinations. he gets paid to cook them up.)

are you tired of extinguishing bright futures for nothing but the sake of their profits yet, binky??? tired of our sons and daughters
being ground up beneath the wheels of their war machine?

realize that syria and iran are the only two countries over there that refuse to knuckle under to the un-restricted wealth-sucking wetdream wishes of the cowboy capitalists. that is largely what this is all about, though the situation is not nearly as black-and-white, nor as simple as most people think. the geography of water sources and planned pipelines matters hugely...and opening economies for plunder is the plumb Bushco is after.

warmongers are always fear-mongers. you can count on bush to try to instill more irrational fear in you, so he can widen and escalate the conflict with your consent. your true and most dangerous enemy is rich, white, and lying to you from the oval office every time he moves his lips.

just like the israeli "leadership" tells lies to israelis.

both countries, US and Israel, have known and documented histories of provoking attacks...even helping carry out attacks on their own people... in order to be able to maintain the conflicts that enrich the "leaders" and their criminal cabal with increased wealth and power.

every single time, without fail since the late sixties, that the oil companies were trading the average (basically meaning not making enough profit to suit them), war has "broken out" in the middle east. and every single time the oil companies' profits shot up after the wars began.

2+2= 4

can't americans still add things up?

your "leaders" don't WANT peace. it's bad for their profit margins!

grow some cajones, america, and stand up to the crooks in the white house, or you will wake up tomorrow to find fascism has got you by the throat! they've wrapped it in the american flag just like was predicted long ago, but it's fascism, still. your current office holders are way in cahoots with the biggest business interests, and YOUR interests are being ignored while your rights and freedom are being taken away.

do you know the law was passed last year and goes into effect in '08...which forces you to carry a national ID card that will be chipped so they can track your location, your banking records, your medical records, your purchases?

shades of nazism/fascism! it's our own people who bushco is watching! and after you accept the cards without making a fuss, the next incarnation is a chip that goes under your skin. you won't be able to do things like get on an airplane or do any banking if you refuse the chip, either! these chips have already been implanted in some american idiots... who acquiesed willingly to this authoritarian outrage.

notice how their ideology is so wrong that no one is buying it. they have to use brute military force to shove their agenda down everyones throats. that's your first clue that they KNOW they are protecting THEIIR interests, not yours.

if you are not willing to participate in governing yourselves, americans, then stop paying hypocritical lip service to democratic ideals! democracy means the people rule themselves and we don't need a king and priest to be "the deciders" of our lives.

you BET i signed that petition. i am outraged and beyond sad for what's being done to the lebanese, and just because the shrubya can choose to ignore my voice is no reason for me not to use it loud and strong anyway!

when enough voices are raised together, THEN he has to listen. it's about the numbers. ghandi didn't win in india because he was such a good man. he booted the brits because he demonstrated to them that he could mobilize millions of people to oppose them.

STOP murdering the lebanese and the palestinians!

murder the idea of having wealthpower giants, instead!

FIND YOUR VOICE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

The US had an enemy like hizbollad; we had to nuke them into submission. Israel is fighting for her very existance; think the Warsaw ghetto 1943. There the Jews were surrounded by nazis and a racist Polish population. They were all bitchered while the world sat on its hands. Never again! Iran is the problem and they won't stop until they are nuked. Does the world really want a nuclear armed Iran? Better to nuke now then butcher more sunni Arab innocents.

The problem is France. They do not think a coalition should be sent there to stablize the bordering area. France wants 15,000 labanese soldiers to control the area.. If labanon wanted to control their borders, they would have already done so. They are in bed with Hezbollah and the US and UK knows it. It could result in a worse disaster than it already is. The UN agenda would be to stop the violence, and the Lebanese government has too many ties to Hezbollah and the result would probably mean more violence. You are blaming the wrong people.

You are TOTALLY wrong, you are approaching this issue from the aggressor point of view. You should give the help to Lebanese Government and address its grievances and requests. DONT forget that the victim of this savage war waged by no 1 terrorist state in the world, Israel, with the help of its sponser state of terror, Ameriac which is creating a supply line of WMD, chimical waepons and other banned arms.
Finaly, the UN is no longer credible party.

Resolutions did not work with Iraq and petitions are not going to work. These terrorists strap explosives in children's back packs and send them in to destroy places. These people have no regard for human life no matter who it is and you want to send in UN troops. The U N is non functioning total failure. The Lebanese allowed Hezbollah in, they had no concern for their women and children when they did this. What about our military people that have been beheaded and tortured, and killed.
