I'm not sure I get the question. Is it just your favorite movie of the week or your favorite movie of all-time? My favorite movie doesn't change every week, or every month, year, etc... I normally have different favorites for different genres though. But just my favorite movie of the week I suppose would be The Descent.

Tsotsi
The main actor is impressive, I felt what his character felt when I watched the movie. And the picture are beautiful (especially the view of the township of Johannesburg) and the music was nice too, a mix between rap and ethnic music from South Africa. And the subject is a difficult one, but it was very well treated.

The Descent. Everyone in the theatre either screamed liked a little girl or jumped out of their skin. Even my big he-man of a husband hit a high note. It was creepy and scary.
