Im in a relationship where it always seems like its going somewhere but we always take one step back. I love him and he loves me but sometimes it seems like he does a lot of things behind my back. Sometimes i feel like he's lying in my face. Then there are times where love is in the air and nothing can really mess it up. His family loves me and i met most of his friends and vice versa. Also we do everything together and whatever we do its for us. Tell me is this a relationship to you or is it just a waste of time? He was my first lover and he took my virginity and i dont want to loss him. Me and him been through a lot and i can say i that i see myself marrying him.

The question to ask yourself is do you trust him. By what you wrote you can't. The biggest thing in a relationship is trust. You should not be in a relationship with someone you can't trust. How do you even know he is not cheating? Just because you do everything together does not mean you are the only one. I have been in situations were I thought I was the only one, but there was someone willing to be the second woman. If a man has to lie than believe me he is hiding something.

Well there are those feelings in every relationship. Since of jealousy insecurites. You didn't mention your age but I would be very hard pressed to say consider marriage without exploring life a bit more. If you marry this guy now you may always wonder what else was out there. I think that you can be happy with your boyfriend but you both should have a serious conversation. Tell him frankly that you don't like it when he lies to you. Honesty, trust and understanding are very important for a relationship to work. As you said that he is your first love, you should try your best not to lose him. You fall in love only once in life. It's a relationship allright. I think u 2 just have issues u need 2 work out. Like trust , commitment and being faithful. May be he is not ready to commit. But whatever the case, communicate ur desires and expectations and set boundaries.

ok..just so you know..just because you do lots of things together & he took ur virginity doesnt mean you cant break up with him..i mean..if you know he's doing things behind your back & he's lying to you & if he's done it many times it's not a real relationship...
dont be afraid..tell him how you feel & if you, for example, catch him cheating...then it's NOT a real relationship..

Sounds like a normal relationship. With the forward and backward thing. If you feel he is lying to you your instinct is probably right. Your gut wont lie to you. Be careful.

i think u shuld gor him. he is a rite person for u. every person has some negative aspects also and surely u will be having some. it could be that it all is ur perception only. sit together and talk.

get some self-esteem training and learn how to make a good relationship BEFORE marrying anyone.
