yes while guy fawkes is the man the fuse was not the downfall, parliment was not yet assembled when he was caught so the fuse was not being lit just yet, and another thing there was no fuse just a trail of black powder

Guy Fawkes. I forget how he was caught though I know his fuse failed when he tried to blow up Parliment
