They made up a reason and fired me, they want now that i should come back and join them. First the CEO, said that i should come back on the same salary, as when i left, but when i insisted that i am more confident now because my pay packet is higher, he said ok we will protect your salary. I also have the fear that they may take information from me on this project, and then they may shunt me out again. I told my ex-boss this, and he said No this will not be repeated. He had insulted me in front of my junior and was very harsh to me. I am working as a consultant now, i put in less hours of work so actually the salary comparison cannot be made. I am so confused i can't decide. Going back into the same atmosphere and working with that same staff, in front of whom i was insulted, makes me feel very queer. Should i go back? Or should i continue with what i have now and keep looking for another good break? The organization from where i was fired is amongst the top education institutes.

i don't think you should go back... they will definitely get the information about the projects and will fire you again and i think precaution is better than cure.

but there is an other option too... u may join them but at much higher salary what u were getting earlier this time do not allow them to dominate you and don't give informations about projects and this is ur chance to ruin their projects .... you can take revenge

am sure u r experienced enough to get another job best of luck.

You have to decide if the benefits of taking the job are more important to you than the negative aspects of taking it. If you want the job and they're offering it there's nothing wrong with just taking it. Yes, you have to overcome some past unpleasantness and you have to live with that feeling that you can't entirely trust them, but if you know that going in and decide you can live with it there's nothing wrong with doing the thing you think will put you in the best position.

The insult thing may have been a one-time/heat-of-the-moment thing, and if you don't make a bigger deal out of it (even if only in your head) it doesn't have to be a big deal.

I think you should take care of you. Do what's right for you. If they'll give you the work and the money right now take it if that's what puts you in a better position, and if you're happy this time around stay; otherwise, find something else while you're working for them.

You know, maybe somewhere between the firing and now these people have come around to thinking they weren't fair to you, and maybe they've realized hiring you back might be good for everyone involved. Somewhere in your heart you know exactly what you want to do. You just have to get the extra concerns sorted and processed. (There is something to be said for benefits...)

If I were you, I will not return to my former job where I was humiliated and fired due to some reasons which were made up by management. Even if they promise you a higher compensation, I still suggest that you should turn down their offer. I see no good reason for you to go back to that office even if it is one of the top educational institutions. Have you heard of the term "delicadeza?" Even for that reason alone, you should not even think about working there.

Why would you want to go back to that? The organization may be top tier, but what good is that to YOU if you only see the gum under the seats? I say keep your dignity, and lose their number...

If it were me I'd ask for a raise, they can't just match your current salary, they need to surpass it. Teach em a lesson for firing you and then crawling back, it should cost them.

Choose the job that you will be happiest working in. If returning to your old job will make you uncomfortable, don't do it! It wouldn't be worth the money to hate going to work everyday.

How are they going to assure you this wont happen again? I wouldn't do it unless the salary compensation is made to you.
