I had a 2 different + ovulation tests on tue morning, I know that this just dectects the LH surge that releases the egg and you can ovulate anything from 12 to 48 hrs after this surge !? I have been taking my temp but not really at the same time so prob wony be accurate, but my temp has still not gone up ! Does this mean that the egg still hasnt been realeased ? Even though the + test was 48 hrs ago now do you think we should still be trying ? I would have thought it would be too late by now !? Also when temp goes up does this mean fertile period is over ? I am now worried I am not actually ovulating and the tests are wrong ! ?

Yes i believe you are correct that the egg releases anything from 12 to 48 hours after the surge, however you can have a false LH surge as your body can change its mind, so the ovulation test would say you are ovulating and then u don't. The best time to take the ovulation test is in the afternoon and not in fact the morning. Your temp normally goes up after you have ovulated. The 24-36 hour period before the temperature shift is identified are the most fertile days in your cycle. you should try and take your temp at the same day every day and first thing in the morning, before even getting out of bed, so have it handy :) Also you could try using a ovulation calander to help work your times out. Lastly im sure you are fine but if you are worried that you are not ovulating at all i would suggest you see your doctor. i hope this helps and good luck.

your temp. goes up about.6 degrees( from your baseline ) after ovulation . It sounds to me like you already O . I hope you had very good luck this month. Now it's the long two week wait to see if you get that positive test!!!!! Fingers crossed for you!!
