India has many languages (around 16 official languages)
in hindi language (one of the major language) its
maf kijiyea
(kind of begging for pardon)
maf = forgive
kijiyea = wants a favor from you
Another version would be
Mujhe maaf karo
where mujhe = to me
maaf = forgive
karo = do

and its "mujhe maaf keejiyae" if it a person older than you
