The first thing is that never download toolbars from yahoo or even google. If you have an IE, the automated phishing filter always detects the bad websites. So for this job, you will have to remove yahoo toolbar and check your popup blocker settings by going to tools and popup blocker and make sure it is turned off for IE.

Odds are important they did no longer come from yahoo. I surely have had my Yahoo mail for ten years now. Yahoo does no longer deliver out attachments unsolicited. you're completely risk-free in deleting them, because of the fact if Yahoo did have some variety of concern with you, they had come again to you. in basic terms delete and go in peace.

hold ctrl on your keyboard while you click on it and release it. that is how you shut down your pop up blocker. if you have a anti-virus and it thinks the file has a virus. than it won't let you open it. keep in mind yahoo mail has a anti-virus. try the pop up thing i told you about first though

Save the attachment to your disk, and then try to open it.
Don't open attachments from people you don't know or recognize. Even if you do know who it came from, it is best to make sure whomever it is agrees they sent you an attachment.
Viruses spread this way. It is worth delaying the instant-gratification of a cute attachment to make sure you don't give yourself a virus.
