Going to the cinema with a couple of mates...the decission lies on me!! Last time I decided...I thought we were going to see a romantic film with Leonardo De Caprio....unfortunatly "The Gangs of New York" freaked out my mates!!! lol

The Break Up was kind of funny, but had a super mediocre ending. But then again, Pirates was SOO long! If you want a light-hearted,short movie, see the Break Up. If you want a long movie with a complicated plot that makes you think the whole way through, I suggest Pirates. I thought Pirates of the Carribean was an overall better movie, though. Have fun at the movies! =)

I'd have to say Pirates of the Caribbean. It's jammed packed with action and Johnny Depp is unbelievable as "Capt'n Jack". It is a little hard to follow at times however.
The break-up is a real quirky comedy. The psychological warfare between VV and JA is funny as hell. However chemistry between them seemed a little off in my opinion.
I'd wager on Pirates, but maybe thats because I'm a action person more than a rom-com person

pick pirates of the caribbean,me and my friend went to the cinema last week to watch the break up but we got the wrong time and ended up going to watch a much better film instead pirates of the caribbean.Johnny depp is so funny in this one. ITS GREAT

You should go for The Pirates of the Caribbean!!!
If your friends are going to make you pick at least pick a film you will enjoy this way the deicing will not always be left up to you.

The break up is a Chick Flick and Pirates is a kids film, that said pirates is a fun and entertaining movie

It depends what ya mates like - Pirates is really funny,but people who get scared easy might not like it, but it does keep you on the edge of your seat. The break-up is meant to be a comedy and a romance so this could be better with people who are quite soppy but still enjoy a good laugh.

well, I've only seen the break-up, which is a nothing scary, romantic movie. Pirates however, is funny, slighty scary (so I've heard and is a 'too be continued' ending. If u do go see pirates though, I heard the first scene is pretty gross. If I were u, I'd go see the break-up if u want to stay safe.

I haven't seen any of the films yet ("sigh" Work: 1, Social life: Nil)
but one of my friends said that The Break up was funny. However, I'm going for Pirates of the Caribbean because all the trailers for it look good and it has Johnny Depp playing Captain Jack Sparrow. ("swoon") ^-^

You shoul d go see Pirates just for Johnny Deep's briliant acting as Captain Jack Sparrow.
The special effects are great, and the movie has all the element of sadness, fun, hillarious, touching...
the part when jack did the "acrobatic thing" with the fruit-on-a-stick is simply hysterical!

Go and see The Pirates cause The Break Up is not that good.
