When they first started they played 'Skiffle', then they graduated into rhythm and blues, they did some rock, and some rock and roll, and also many ballads, but mostly it was pop. That was one of the things that made the Beatles so popular, that they could play a number of different styles of music.

Their songs were mainly about LOVE. There were many messages in their songs about bringing love and peace to the world, as it was an especially troubled place in their time, even more so than today, if you can believe that.

They had their own record company - Apple Records

They had loads of hit songs, and quite a few albums, and also did a few international tours.

Sadly they didn't last long. Not like the Rolling Stones who started around the same time and are stll going strong.

For more information try Google or Wikipedia. OK?

Oh my! I agree with several of the folks whose response is above mine. Where HAVE you been? and IS THIS REALLY HOMEWORK?? (if so, it is a lame class assignment on the face of it, but then again I teach higher level concepts using Toy Story, so I guess I do not have any room to brag). One of the guys above my response gave a pretty thorough briefing, but let me tell you one theory on why they did not last as long as the Stones: They thought very highly of themselves and served only their own interests. They suffered from consciences of convenience -theirs. John Lennon was even foolish enough to draw heavenly attention (and wrath, no doubt) when he said that the "Beattles were even bigger than Jesus." Well, not only is Johnny boy explaining that statement in person with the Almighty right now, he was the first of the "Fab Four" to leave this earth. Hmmmm...., I wonder if there is a connection. Lastly, to the other responders, if you are going to give this student negative feedback as to "laziness" and low I.Q, you might want to spell (or spell out) your responses first so you aren't the one looking like the loser.

And the absolute worst this is this kids got the Internet you think there would be some sort of research skills there......geez I don't know how to go to google and type in the Beatles. *sigh shakes head* Sad truly.
