Yes as long as you have been taking it correctly and have not missed any or had any late pills you should be covered. However, remember that it is not 100% protective. It is about 98% effective at preventing pregnancy if taken correctly. There are other circumstances like having had vomiting and diarrhoea or when taking some antibiotics that it is recommended that you use other precautions like a condom.

its defiantely safe to have sex (without a condom) during the pill free break.
As long as you are not late taking your next pack and you took the 21 pills on time with no sickness or diarrhoea within 4 hours of taking the pill.

Yes. The 21 day pill will cover you for your entire cycle. But it won't protect you from sexually transmitted diseases, if you have several partners.
Did you know that (celibate) nuns rarely develop the female cancers (with the exception of breast) because there are not exposed to seminal fluid.
