I restarted my computer, and now nothing will come up. My icons won't work and they don't have pictures like I need a program to run them up. The only things that have pictures are my documents, my computer, some folders and the internet explorer. for some reason the only thing that'll even work is my internet explorer, nothing else will load. I tried sticking a restoration cd in and it wont even work. I restarted it like so many times... I have spyware doctor and I kept running it, but could this be spyware or probably just a really bad virus. Any idea's?????

hey thanks everyone for your input, I ain't got a clue what happened. Everyone told me to go into stuff but I couldn't, it didn't even wanna load the start bar! Nothing would come up at all so I couldn't do anything so luckily my brother knows like everything about computers and got it to where I could restore it completely! Thanks though everyone!!

I personally think your computer had been attacked by virus or maybe you had installed something that keep the computer slow. instead of restoring something like this, better if you just move any of your important document to any USB drive@cd(if you have the cd writer),format eveything and install everything all over again.

Hi ,
This could be because of a Virus or SpyWare ,try to install Norton Antivirus and Scan all the Hard Drive,if it didn't solved the problem then you really Need the Windows to be Reinstalled.
Before Reinstalling Please take Backup of all your Documents and Pictures etc ,...then Reinstall it.

any Question you can ask me.
Have a great time.

Not sure if this is the answer, but sounds like 'something' deleated an important file in Windows. Have you tried to 'repair' or 'reinstall' Windows? Might have to. But you shouldn't have to reinstall all the pictures, etc.

If you are running XP then go to start, programs, accessories, system tools and system restore.

Your problem looks like some windows file got deleted.

if you are using windows xp ,you can go for last known good configuration.for this restart your computer and press F8 before the OS loads.this is done for getting the safe mode options.from the safe mode menu select the Last known good configuration.I think this will work for your problem.
