It's that big round thing, either silver or black, that the air conditioning lines go into and then through the fire wall on the passenger side in the back of the engine compartment. It's actually a filter/drier, and filters freon and removes the moisture from the system.

I know some models came out with a fresh air passenger compartment filter and it was located on the passenger side under the cowl, if equipped. part of the cowling has to be removed for access
