In his early career, Michael Jackson did not write his own songs. On the "Off the Wall" album, Michael only wrote two songs, "Don't Stop Til You get Enough and Working Day and Night". On the "Thriller" album, Michael co-wrote Billie Jean, Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', and Beat It".
Unfortunately, Michael Jackson did not choreograph the moonwalk himself. Watching break-dancers of the 70s and street dancers, they performed the moonwalk. Michael just streamlined it and made it popular around the world.
On the Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, and (sadly) Invincible albums -- Michael is the top writer for almost all of his songs. A few songs such as "You Are Not Alone and One More Chance" which were #1s were written by R-Kelly.

Watch the interview he did with Oprah Winfrey, there he said he saw the moonwalk being done by some children on the street, fine tuned it, and made it his own. He wrote and co-wrote a lot of his songs, and he has also authored at least two books. My favorite book is Dancing The Dream. Even though the hateful people of the world want to believe the worse about him, Michael Jackson is truly a wonderful human being, he is a genius, which explains why he thinks different than us. But, of course, that is his blessing, if he thought the same as we do, he would not be the successful man that he is. This is off the subject, but I can't help wondering why Michael Jackson is the one human being in this world, who is constantly criticized for everything he does, even when it is insignificant or none of our business.

The guy is insane but he does have talent. He created most of his signature moves including the moonwalk all by himself.

Peter Pan. He was caught in a sword spar with him, so he moon-walked to parry the blows. Eventually though, the fairy boy succumbed to Michael's smooth moves, and was forced to surrender in the competition that was suddenly replaced by a dance off. Extravagant, yes, but it also explains how he established a coup in Neverland.

Nope his dad...i use to be a big MJ fan back in the day!! I know I know I'm ashamed of it too, but come on I was like 6...hmmmm interesting...could there be subliminal messages to children in his songs.
No seriously...I'm not trying to be a smart ***, but when I was young, like when Thriller first came out and stuff, I LOVED MJ. Probably up till I was about 10 too. Now I can listen to the old MJ and dig it, but I don't LOVE it like I did when I was young. Hmmmmmm?
