Well 9/11 was used to gain support for the terrorist activities of President Bush. Politics uses such events to gain popularity for the biggest atrocities. It is also politics to claim to have thwarted bombing attempts to fuel public backing for unpopular wars.
The US government KNEW about the 9/11 attack in enough advance they could have stopped the carnage but it suited their purpose more to allow it to happen. How else would they have been able to have all the names and photos on the news in the first 5 minutes? I timed it.. from the first plane hitting to having mug shots of the perps on the news was five minutes.

There is no reason for terrorists to be doing this. They just want to blow up civilians to punish the British and Americans. Remember 9/11?!
