Because they think that's a direct link to your personal life.

Freud told them to do that. Also they like you to think that your problems are your own fault. That way if they don't cure you it is your fault, not theirs and they can prolong the treatment as long as they want costing you big bucks.

Cause they're such know-it-alls they don't get any. So they live off their patients.??? I don't know.. Haha
