I'm an Engg student now i want to whether there is any real difference b/w I.T. and C.S.?

almost the same....if u go for finer details..this example will help u...itll tell u abt every kind of engineer..supppose u have design a robot...ull need various kinds f engineers..mechanical will design the body and manufacture it...electronics will set up the electronic circuiotry..intruementation will analyse the circuitry...then the computer engineer will interface the robot s circuitry with the computer...and finnaly the it engineer will write a code to make the robot work and to give it directions......any ways iam a mechanical and automation engineer..working on automated packaging machines...

actually there is no difference between IT and CS branches at least in terms of career oppurtinities especially in the software field. In the course curriculum almost 90% of the syllabus is common for these courses. i think it is a ploy by JNTU to create more seats in the computer science stream since it has to get AICTE approval.
