I know that by even asking a question, there is a certain amount of crap a person has to take just for asking, and thats the name of the game. ~ But some of the questions asked are so very racist and messed up that Im sure Im not the only one who gets nauseated by them. Yet, like so many of you, I answer them. Why do we do this? Do we think we can change them? Why cant we IGNORE them? Its like getting sucked into a vortex of hate! What do you think?

No. Those who post racist material thrive on getting a reaction, even if its against them. The best policy for online racists is to ignore them, and they will get bored and go away. And report them for Abuse. Answers is not a place to post racist content.

Yeah I understand. I just got an email from a person who said I was a Hypocrite because I defended my faith and answered her question. I never once attacked her. I posed a question at the end of my response though, and of course she attacked me for it. And attacked me racially by attacking me for being an American. I understand why so many hate America right now. I don't like what is happening in the Middle East either. But I am not racist or a hypocrite. Yet when I respond to someone who is they get mad and attack.

The best thing to do is ignore them, and maybe they will go away. But I'm with you; sometimes I just can't resist answering even though I know it's exactly what the OP wants.

I also report--although I know it doesn't do much good--the ones that have egregious racist or depraved sexual content. That crap just doesn't belong on a site that young people frequent.

It all boils down to choice.

Yes we can answer these questions and we can also not answer them.

It's up to the individual reading these questions whether or not he or she wants to answer.

The person asking the question most probably is expecting a reactionary response from the readers of the question.

Sometimes, an answer is just so bizzare and unacceptable that it's not the person who asks the question who is being criticized but the person who is also a respondent to the question.

Peace.

So what, if a racist want to prove that he or she is better than others becouse he has more than two hands, ugly and sharp hormns to frighten genius people etc.etc. Let him prove. Leaving an ugly thing unattended without replacing it with something better is probably not a remedy. Otherwise everyone is free to choose his own method to tackle a situation.

I do the same thing sometimes. It would be better if everyone would ignore them, so the people who asked them would quit, but sometimes it feels so good to fight back.
