I heard something like that somewhere, but I don't know if it's true. Oh, I use the twist-up kind- Maybelline eyeliner that you don't have to sharpen.

Applying eyeliner or other eye makeup inside your eyelids can be dangerous, because the eyeliner stuff can flake off into your eye and scratch the cornea (clear front surface of the eye), making your eye more susceptible to a bacterial infection. This isn't very likely but it happens, so you should try not to risk it. Even though you see this commonly in magazines and stage makeup where it is used only occasionally, it is definitely not recommended for daily use.

plus eyeliner looks much hotter on the top lash line where it emphasizes your lash line and makes your lashes look lusher, plus it doesn't look as harsh there as on the bottom lash line (application is harder but just practice)

hope that helps =]

I have always been taught by makeup artists in theatre that for everyday use... if you are going to line your lower eyelid daily, it shouldn't be the inside area, but right below your eyelashes. This gives you the line without it getting in your eye.

See I think it would be. My younger daughter does that and I just can't help but think she shouldn't get that foreign substance right in her eye all the time. But so far she hasn't had any eye infections. She is careful to wash her makeup off at night before bed. Maybe you should be careful about that, too.

I can't see sticking foreign objects inside your eyes being very healthy. Just doesn't seem right.
